While producing videos for Develop Africa, I noticed the same operational problem repeating itself.
Once subtitles were exported, proofreading, quality assurance, transcript cleanup, reporting, and content repurposing all happened as separate manual processes. Every platform required new writing, and maintaining consistency across outputs became increasingly time-consuming.
Rather than improving only one step of the workflow, I designed a unified content operations system that transformed a single subtitle file into multiple communication assets while preserving quality, consistency, and formatting throughout the process.
Producing one finished video involved several disconnected workflows:
Proofreading subtitle files manually.
Preserving timestamps and numbering.
Checking names and organizations.
Creating edit reports.
Cleaning transcripts.
Rewriting content for multiple social platforms.
Maintaining consistent messaging across every channel.
Each stage required additional manual effort, increasing production time while creating opportunities for inconsistencies.
